U-cup rod seals prevent fluid leakage in hydraulic and pneumatic systems with a dual-lip design, combining a static exterior lip with a dynamic interior lip for reliable sealing. Commonly used in pistons, presses, and lifts, Chesterton offers tailored U-cup rod seal solutions to meet diverse needs, including zero-leakage performance, low-pressure sealing, and compensation for worn equipment.

Chesterton® 6K Rod Seal

Single-acting rod seal with a positive-rake u-cup design-lip; conforms to surface irregularities; rugged, rubber-based construction ideal for older, worn hydraulic equipment

Chesterton® 22KE Rod Seal

Single-acting, continuous u-cup design that incorporates the use of an O-ring to increase pre-load capabilities for low pressure; O-ring energises seal to increase pre-load capabilities in the absence of system pressure.

Chesterton® 22K Rod Seal

Single-acting u-cup design featuring special seal-lip geometry for zero leakage; and a stabilising static lip and negative-rake design for easy installation. Available as rod or piston seal for hydraulic applications.

Stacked Set Rod Seals

Also called chevron stacked sets or vee packing, stacked set rod seals are used between male and female adaptors to form a multi-lip packing seal. Made from wear-resistant urethane, Chesterton’s designs offer durable, high-performance sealing, ideal for high-pressure, abrasive applications like mud pumps and other demanding equipment.

Chesterton® 8K Rod Seal

Stacked v-ring set with a positive-rake design, which makes contact through the centre to ensure even loading, longer sealing and minimal gland pressure, compared to conventional stacked sets.

Chesterton® 11K Rod Seal

Single-acting, two-part unit with unique split design, which eliminates need for equipment disassembly and shimming and reduces friction and wear, compared to conventional elastomer V-ring assemblies

Chesterton® 600 Parachute Packing

V-ring set for hydraulic applications, suited to older worn equipment and deep stuffing boxes and odd-sized rams where equipment cannot be disassembled.
