Seal Upgrade Extends Truck
Suspension Life

A copper mine experienced premature seal failure on suspension cylinders of heavy duty, offroad trucks exposed to consistent heavy payload and high frequency. Cylinders with the OEM seal repair kit lasted 6,000-8,000 hours.

We recommended a cylinder upgrade solution – complete with our proprietary thermoset polymer (AWC800) provided outstanding wear, abrasion and extrusion resistance. The seal kit included wiper, primary rod seal (cap seal), secondary rod seal (U-cup) and rod bearing bands. This led to an extended 12,000 working hours, and a Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR) improvements of 1.5 – 2x.
