Background
A customer in the steelmaking industry was experiencing a problem where hydraulic oil began leaking about three months after servicing a large main clamp cylinder for a circular saw with a 200 mm rod diameter.
As a result, they were seeking a complete overhaul of the cylinder and an effective improvement measure.

Improved Reliability
Previously, maintenance was needed every three months. However, even six months after installation, the cylinder is operating in excellent condition with none of the previous problems occurring—there has been no hydraulic oil leakage, no vibration during operation, no heat buildup, no abnormal noise, and no pressure abnormalities.
