Challenge
Background
Leakage mixed with quenching water is occurring and the replacement cycle of the mechanical seal is only about two months, resulting in high maintenance costs.
Root Cause
The external design of the seal makes the sliding surfaces susceptible to external impurities, causing sludge to become entrapped in the sliding surfaces, which in turn leads to premature wear and tear of the mechanical seal.

Solution
Recommended Product
Changing environmental management methods and mechanical seals is expensive. Therefore, as an alternative, we recommended the Chesterton Polymer Seal 30KC, which can handle viscous fluids.
